Course Information: The Trends in Fitness and Recreational Activities course will allow students to experience the latest approaches to fitness through a variety of rec league sports and popular activities. Fitness activities explored in the class are, but not limited to: yoga, dance movement, Pilates, body toning and cardiovascular training. Rec League sports include, but are not limited to: Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, Ultimate Games, Badminton, and Tennis. Through intentional execution of the activities students should expect to see improvement in their cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and muscular endurance. Physical Activities in this course will challenge students to reach their personal wellness goals and help them understand the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle beyond the classroom.
