2nd Graders Learn About Artist Charlie Harper

During Art Class 2nd graders at Turtle Creek learned about the artist Charlie Harper. They created a piece of artwork in the style of our artist by using paint and paper. First they used black paint by scraping it across the paper to make it look like a birch tree. Afterwards, they created the cardinals by using different shapes and adding lines to make them in the same style as our featured artist. They did an amazing job! Then during Computer class these students recreated their Art Class project in Google Draw. Students were tasked with being creative using shapes, manipulating sizes, changing fill colors, border colors, shape rotations along with the copy and paste functions. Way to Go 2nd graders!
