Students from Phoenix Middle School competed in the Battle of the Books contest on Thursday, Feb. 17. Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in 3rd thru 12th grades. Students read books and come together, usually in groups, to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read. Excellent job to those students who participated this year.
In the Elementary Division, First Place: Faith Iverson, Emma Meinen, Jerzi DeWitt & Ashlynn Duncan. In second place: Celeste Esquivel Gama, Sophia Figueroa Cruz, Alexis Lee & Ruby Vasquez.
In the Middle School Division, First Place: Vivienne Frenz, Brielle Hensel & Abagail Kiem. In second place: Caden Beckman, Emily Hamlin & Katie Walsh.
