A local supporter of Delavan-Darien students, who prefers to remain anonymous, donated nearly $9,000 of new equipment to the Phoenix Middle School and Delavan-Darien High School band departments. We appreciate these community partnerships which support our students in all their educational endeavors!
The donation to the band program included 5 beginner model Ravel flutes, 3 beginner model Ravel clarinets, 2 beginner model Gemeinhardt/Ravel alto saxophones, 1 beginner model Ravel Tenor Saxophone, 3 beginner model Ravel trumpets, 7 Ravel Pocket Trumpets, 3 ravel bass drum pedals, 4 sets of concert jingle bells, and 49 folding music stands. The total donation is valued at approximately $8700. The instruments will be added to the district instrument inventory and used by beginners, middle school students, and high school students to fill instrumental needs within Mr. Stark's and Mr. Butzow's instrumental band programs.
