Several DDHS students had the opportunity to tour the Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Janesville and the First Class Cosmetology School in Beloit. Our DDHS students were able to get a feel for the job and schools while touring the colleges.
Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Janesville offers a full-time 13 month program or a part-time 22 month program in Cosmetology. Students learn to become a Hairdresser, Hair Colorist, Cosmetologist, Stylist, Nail Technician, or Make-up Artist while in that program.
Similarly, First Class Cosmetology School in Beloit offers a Esthetics (600 hour program), Nail Technology (350 hours), and Cosmetology (1550 hours) program. The Cosmetology program at First Class offers the optional advanced nails, advanced skin and eyelash extensions training at no charge. In March of 2020 First Class will also have a Massage Therapy program. Last year EstheticanEDU.com recognized First Class as one of the best Esthetician programs in the country and the only one awarded recognition in Wisconsin.
Financial Aid through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is available for all of the program except the Nail Technology (because it's too short of a program).
