We’re excited to share some great news about this summer’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at Delavan-Darien School District! The SFSP provides free, nutritious meals to all children age 18 and under.
In the past, free summer meals were only available during summer school. This year, thanks to a new Rural Non-Congregate or Meals-to-Go Program, we can also provide free meals for children to take home on weeks when summer school is not in session.
Here’s what you need to know:
Each child will receive 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches per week.
Meals will include a mix of shelf-stable and perishable foods that require refrigeration or freezing.
Meal distribution will take place once a week at Delavan-Darien High School on Thursdays from 12:30–1:00 PM or 4:30–6:00 PM, starting June 19 through July 24.
To receive Meals-to-Go, you must sign up ahead of time by completing this Google form: https://forms.gle/8jSTEqvBKDW3rgVy7
When signing up, please provide:
Names of parent(s)/guardian(s) who will pick up meals
Phone number and email address
Names and ages of all children in your household needing meals
As part of the program, we verify the number of children in each household. We can usually confirm this from our records but may contact you if we need additional information. At meal pickup, we will ask you to confirm the details you submitted to ensure meals go to the correct household.
Each week, you will receive an email with the menu for the upcoming week, including storage and preparation instructions. This information will also be available on our website. Our goal is to provide well-balanced, healthy meals that meet your child’s nutritional and energy needs.

Beginning June 16th, 2025, meals will be served at these locations and times:

Summer School Students and Screened Visitors
Breakfast will be served from 7:45am – 8:15 am and lunch will be served from 11:30am – 12:30pm Monday through Thursday
Open to the Community
Beginning June 19 – July 24, 2025 - Three days’ worth of non-congregate breakfast and lunch will be served from 12:30pm – 1:00pm or 4:30pm-6:00pm on Thursdays to families who sign up in advance using this form.
Beginning July 28 – August 25, 2025 - Seven days’ worth of non-congregate breakfast and lunch will be served from 4:30pm-6:00pm on Thursdays to families who sign up in advance using the form found below. (Form will be sent out at the end of June).
Wednesdays – June 18, July 2, and July 16

Meals served onsite from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
