Parent Pickup of School Meals The Delavan-Darien School District recently received updated guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Instruction regarding the free meal service provided through the USDA. Moving forward, parents are allowed to pick up meals for their children without children being physically present in the vehicle in an “effort to provide some leniency for children who may be sick or immunocompromised and should not be going out to the site”. All Students are Welcome All students age 18 and under are able to receive a free breakfast and lunch each weekday regardless of whether they are currently enrolled in Delavan-Darien or another District. The District is happy to provide this service to all families and students. If you have not already picked up a meal, or filled out our survey, please do so that we can have an idea of your needs while avoiding waste. Please note you only need to take the survey once. The English version of the survey can be found here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfvsf1B4VlqU8y6BVs-XpfXDA0O_M5zGT9ku1oEPt-Tz7PyxA/viewform?usp=sf_link The Spanish version of the survey can be found here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdDn2fv-ztpUUdkyELPPXpHzgWMgwf2gi72Cugc-MOVKunpLQ/viewform?usp=sf_link Drive-Through Reminders Meals are served each day from 7am – 10am at the front doors of the Delavan-Darien High School and Darien Elementary. If you do not see anyone outside, please pull forward in the circle so that they can see you from the front door lobby. Staff are always there but they may be inside the front door packing more meals or staying out of the wind and rain. No Meals During Spring Break and the Weekend Due to USDA regulations, the District is currently unable to provide free meals to the community during regularly scheduled breaks such as the weekend and during Spring Break (March 23 - March 27).
