DDHS, along with Mrs. Grover & Mrs. Scott (Personal Finance Teachers) are proud to share that Jessica Olson has been nominated for the $2,500 Payback Challenge Scholarship sponsored by Next Gen Personal Finance. Students were asked to play the Payback simulation to have a better idea of what to expect in college. Students then had to write an essay of how COVID-19 has changed the way college looks and feels. Students also had to discuss college decision-making changes because of the pandemic.
Jessica will be competing against other students across the United States. Winners will be announced in December 2020. Two awards will be provided for the National Grand Prize Winners, each at $2,500. Forty-five awards will be provided for the Honorable Mention Awards, each at $1,000.
