Klein

The Delavan-Darien School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Klein as Interim Superintendent for the 2026–2027 school year, effective July 1, 2026.

Klein currently serves as the District's Business Administrator and brings extensive leadership experience, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the district's financial, operational, and organizational needs. He will serve as Interim Superintendent while the Board of Education conducts a comprehensive search for the district's next superintendent.

The Board of Education and Mr. Klein mutually agreed that maintaining the current leadership structure during the search process will provide stability, continuity, and consistent leadership for students, families, staff, and the community. This approach ensures the district can continue moving forward on its strategic priorities while allowing the Board time to conduct a thoughtful and thorough search for the district's next superintendent.

Throughout his tenure with the Delavan-Darien School District, Klein has played an integral role in maintaining the district's financial stability, supporting long-range planning efforts, and ensuring that district resources are aligned with the needs of students and staff. His collaborative leadership style, proven leadership experience, and institutional knowledge position him well to guide the district during this period of transition.

"We are confident this decision best serves our school community," said Board of Education President David Henriott. "Anthony understands our district, the relationships that make our schools strong, and our priorities. His leadership will provide stability and continuity as we continue building on the great work happening across the Delavan-Darien School District while we search for our next superintendent."

As Interim Superintendent, Klein will oversee all aspects of district leadership, working closely with the Board of Education, district administrators, staff, students, families, and community partners to ensure continuity, stability, and continued progress toward the district's strategic priorities.

"I am honored to once again serve the Delavan-Darien School District as Interim Superintendent," said Klein. "My commitment is to provide steady leadership, support our outstanding staff, and ensure every decision we make continues to put students first. I look forward to working collaboratively with our Board of Education, staff, families, and community as we build on the great work already happening throughout our district."

The Delavan-Darien School District remains committed to providing high-quality educational experiences while maintaining strong leadership throughout the superintendent search process to support student achievement and organizational excellence.
