The Delavan-Darien School District will have a $2.1 million referendum on the April 1 Election Day ballots. This is an operational referendum that would give the district the ability to add $2.1 million to the revenue limit (the amount the district can receive annually from state and local resources).
The referendum, if approved, would add those dollars to the base revenue limit formula beginning in 2014-15. The additional funds would help the district maintain programs we feel are critical to the success of our students and our school district.
With our strategic plan and other initiatives, the district has made significant investments to bring improvements to our schools. The referendum will allow those changes to continue.
