Course Information: The Coaching, Officiating, and Team Activities course is designed to provide a variety of practical experiences in multiple sports. This course will be more competitive in nature as students take on roles as player, coach, and official. Students will reinforce fitness concepts through specified weight-room and cardio workouts. Basic sport specific skills and fundamentals will be addressed through drills and team competitions. Students will participate in coaching demonstrations that reinforce rules, strategies and building a team atmosphere. Practical experience will be a part of the course as students coach and officiate peer games. Activities in the course include, but are not limited to: floor hockey, speedball, flag football, basketball, volleyball, water games and soccer.
