Practice ACT Dates

Delavan-Darien High School is inviting all 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students to participate in up to three free opportunities to explore and take the ACT.  Students can participate in one, two or all three practice sessions at DDHS on the selected dates below.  Students will take the battery of ACT assessments (Reading / English / Math / Science) beginning at 7:45 AM and concluding somewhere close to noon, having received their scores back within that time frame.  Research shows that the more students take the ACT, the better they score.  Again, this is at no cost to Delavan-Darien students.

Testing dates are:
     * Saturday, November 23
     * Saturday, February 1
     * Saturday, February 22

Again, students may elect to participate once, twice or all three dates.  Each date will include the same battery of exams, but a different exam from each time.  (ie. We will be giving the 2017 math exam one weekend, the 2018 math exam another weekend, and the 2019 exam yet a different weekend.)  If students want to participate they must contact either Mrs. Waychoff (mwaychoff@ddschools.org) or Mr. Hadlock (mhadlock@ddschools.org) to register, or they can sign-up in the Student Services Office at DDHS.  Students should remember to bring a #2 pencil, a calculator and get plenty of sleep the night before.  It is recommended that students also eat a good breakfast before attending the session.  All sessions require check-in at DDHS by 7:45, with the exams beginning promptly at 8 AM.  Sign-up for each session will conclude the Thursday prior to that particular Saturday exam.
