ParentSquare - New District Communications Platform

We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Delavan-Darien School District called ParentSquare. This will be the form of communication for the 2023-2024 school year. Please jumpstart the process by downloading the app to your smart phone, tablet, etc. If you have a student enrolled already, you should have received an activation link.

If you are new to our schools, you'll need to wait until you are completely registered before being able to join Parent Square. Thank you!

This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents informed and facilitate participation at school. It provides a safe way for the school principal, teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to:

  • Send and receive school and class information
  • Share pictures and files
  • See calendar items
  • Sign up to volunteer & fill out permission slips
  • Pick your communication preferences and the time of the day for delivery
  • and much more . . . all in one centralized place!

You can find an overview of ParentSquare and how to use it via this video: Parents—Getting Started Video

All District/school/grade level and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text or you can download the FREE App. Plus all athletic & activities communication will be used through this platform as well. This platform will be replacing all other communications tools that the District previously used, such as DOJO, IC messenger, Thrillshare Apptegy, etc.

You will receive an email and/or text with a link to activate your ParentSquare account. This invitation will be sent to the email address you provided in your parent portal on Infinite Campus.

If you log in to ParentSquare and discover that your name, email address, or phone number are incorrect, your child’s school can help correct this issue in Infinite Campus. Anything that your school’s front office cannot correct will be entered in a tech ticket for our technology team to address. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work through these details.

For even more convenience, you can download the ParentSquare app.
The app is the best way to stay connected with our schools. A few of the things you can do on the app:

  • View Posts: news and happenings in the class, grade, school, or groups
  • Events: look at the school calendar and save events on your phone
  • Photos: easily view and download class and school photos
  • Participate: volunteer for events, sign-up to bring an item, or fill out a form
  • Communicate: direct message with staff or your classroom teacher

Download the ParentSquare app for even more features:

Activating Your Account

  • You will receive an email inviting you to activate your ParentSquare account.
  •  If you do not have access to your activation email, visit ParentSquare.com, click Sign In, and then enter your email address or mobile phone number that the District has on file in the Sign Up/Create Password form.

Tips:

  •  Be sure to check your promotions or spam folders for the message if it does not appear in your inbox.
  • If you are having trouble logging in, it is likely that your contact information needs to be corrected in IC. Please call your child’s school for help with this.
  • It is also possible that the same email address is used for both parents in IC, so only one parent is receiving messages/access. Again, this can be fixed in IC and your child’s school can help.
  • If there are issues that the front office at your child’s school cannot correct, a tech ticket will be submitted on your behalf to our technology department.

Below are a few documents that will help you get started to learn the new system.

If you have any questions or need assistance with ParentSquare, you can visit their online help library. We look forward to connecting with parents through this new program!
