‘Posada’ is Celebrated by students at Turtle Creek

The students in the first grade dual language program shared with their schoolmates at Turtle Creek Elementary school a Latin American tradition called “Posadas.” “Posadas” is celebrated a few days before Christmas and consists of visiting family and friends to be with together, share a snack and prepare for Christmas! The first grade students invited students to visit them in their classroom and created Christmas crafts, decorated Christmas trees with ice cream cones and candies, made snowmen using marshmallows, plus some other fun activities in the spirit of the holiday! The first graders worked with their classmates and also students in second grade and third grade students from both the dual program and also the monolingual classrooms.
