Darien is making Mindful fourth graders

Darien Elementary School fourth graders have been studying what it means to be "mindful" and what mindful behavior looks like. Each student made a pledge on how he or she would show mindful behaviors in their community. Some examples include being kind to animals, going to church, donating to charities, volunteering and more. It's higher-level thinking in our fourth grade! #Amazing! Great job, fourth graders! #DDCometProud! See more on our website!

Only one school in each state wins the award. Wileman was chosen because of an essay submitted by Kindergarten Teacher Pam Clark on the importance of our summer bookmobile! #DDCometProudThe prize will provide Wileman Elementary with a set of 500 books to build their school library and help kick off summer reading.Wileman kindergarten teacher Pam Clark wrote a short essay about the community-wide importance of Delavan-Darien School District running a summer bookmobile program in order to be considered for the award.
