Darien fourth graders show off their mindfulness pledges, showing how they’ll help their communities!

Darien Elementary School fourth graders in Ms. Megan Riviere’s class have been working with their teacher and school social worker Ms. Kristen Munson about what it means to be mindful and what mindful behavior looks like. They’re using the MindUp curriculum for their studies. Recently, the students and their teachers talked about how they can all be mindful in our communities. Each student made a pledge on how he or she would show mindful behaviors in their community. Some examples include being kind to animals, going to church, donating to charities, volunteering and more. It’s higher-level thinking in our fourth grade! #Amazing! Great job, fourth graders! #DDCometProud!
