Today we had Sgt. Tom Rich from the New Jersey police department here to talk to our students about being safe when they are online, whether it is on a phone, tablet, or other device. He encouraged every student to speak with their parent about the presentation tonight. Please talk with your child about this wonderful event!
It's been awhile since we've done a Staff Spotlight. Here is our favorite Physical Education teacher, Mr. Kanoff! Mr. Kanoff likes hockey, soccer and watching movies. He works at CLC after school too. If he could go anywhere, it would be Disney World. He and his wife also welcomed their first child on Christmas Day! Thanks for all you do, Mr. Kanoff!
Report cards will be sent home with your child this afternoon. Please review the report with your child. Keep the report card, but please sign and return the envelope so we can reuse it next trimester. If you have any questions regarding the report, please reach out to your child's teacher(s).

Reminder...Tuesday, December 17th is Darien's Winter Sing/Honor Choir/Orchestra Concert at Phoenix Middle School. Everyone is working hard and we are all excited to share with our amazing efforts! All students will be performing the "Nutcracker Suite" Mini-Musical for our Winter Sing. Details of when to arrive and what to wear are below. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Darien student and staff are supporting two staff who are fighting cancer by wearing Pink on Thursday, Oct. 10th. Students are encouraged to participate as well. Don’t have a pink shirt to wear? How about socks or shoes? Please do but send hats as students are not to wear hats at school.
