Attention Students: COMETEER NEWSPAPER MEETING; NEWCOMERS WELCOME! The D-DHS Cometeer Newspaper Club will meet at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the D-DHS Library. It will be done by 3:40 p.m., so please arrange to have a ride home. All D-DHS students are invited to attend and get more information and/or sign up for the club. If someone is interested, but cannot make the meeting(s), contact Mr. Thom Aiello, the advisor, at thomaiello@gmail.com. There is already a list of story ideas, but we really would like your ideas as well! Email Mr. Aiello if you have any questions in advance, and to confirm if you will be able to attend or not.

Attention Students: The PBIS 1st semester drawing will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Attention Juniors: Are you interested in a career in law enforcement. If so, you may be interested in learning more about the Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy. The academy will be held June 24 -28, 2019 at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy at Ft. McCoy, WI. The academy is offered to students who are currently juniors in high school who are good standing and recommended by their school. There is no cost to the student. The academy offers classroom instruction, hands on experiences coupled with required physical fitness participation. The students stay in the dorms at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy during the session. The application will be available in January 2019 at www.wilegion.org. Attention Juniors & Seniors: U.W. Platteville Platteville, WI, Rep. visit, Wednesday, January 30th from 12:00 – 1:00, in the Student Services conference room # 114

Attention Students: Winter Week – January 28 through February 2 Winter Week T-shirts will cost $10 and must be pre-ordered (Wed 1/9- Fri 1/11).  Fees and fines must be paid for before you can order a shirt. Each shirt will have the same front design and a class-specific backside.  Freshmen shirts will be pink, Sophomores will be orange, Juniors will be neon green, and Seniors will be black.

Attention Students: DDHS will be administering the ASVAB on February 7 @7:45 AM. ALL students are welcome to sign-up to take the test, but students considering the military should sign-up as it is a requirement to complete the ASVAB. Students who take the ASVAB are NOT REQUIRED to go into the military, but can get access to great information about possible future careers and schools based on the information learned from your results. Sign-up is in Student Services. All students must sign up by Friday, January 25th. See Ms. O’Connell for more information or with questions.

Attention all students 16 years and older: Mercy Health Walworth has a pilot program that is for two student positions in their Food Service department. These student positions are ages 16 and above. They have two pool openings available. The hours for these positions are to work nights and weekends around school. A full description is available online.
