Congratulations to Ryan Flitcroft, Isabel Calhoun, and Joliene Terpstra for getting second place at the SkillsUSA State Conference in the Engineering Technology Design competition. These students are enrolled in the Engineering Design and Development Class as DDHS. This course is centered around going through the Engineering Design Process and applying it to real world situations/problems. These students spent countless hours researching, designing, and prototyping in order to develop their product and create a design portfolio. 

SkillsUSA gives students the opportunity to compete in highly skilled workforce competitions in order to develop personal skills, workplace skills and technical skills, Through the DDHS Engineering Design and Development course and SkillsUSA students are are able to connect with industry representatives for future educational and career opportunities in order to close the skills gap within America's skilled workforce.
