DDHS

Items needed for DDHS students vary by classes. All students should bring a a backpack, an assortment of pens and pencils, loose-leaf paper and folders to class on the first day of school. Individual class teachers will inform students of particular items needed for each class.

 


Phoenix

Grade 6

MUST HAVE:
(1) 3-ring Binder (or Trapper Keeper) with dividers for different subjects.
(4) Ballpoint pens (blue or black, please, inexpensive ones are best.)
(2) Packages of white, wide lined paper
(4) Pocket folders (1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 green)

• If you want to purchase a good calculator that will take your child through middle school and beyond, we recommend the TI-30.


Grade 7

The following is a list of required materials for students in Grade 7:

( 1 ) Assignment Planner (This is included in your Registration Fee and will be received in homeroom on
the 1st day of school. It must be replaced at a cost of $5.00 if lost.)

• DO NOT purchase “White Out” or “Liquid Paper.” You are not allowed to use it.
• DO NOT purchase folders until you find out from individual teachers whether folders will be acceptable. In some classes they may not be used. We prefer the 3-ring notebook because it is easier to organize and keep things in good condition.
• DO NOT purchase permanent markers.
• DO NOT purchase file folder staple notebooks.

** All clothing and school supplies should be marked with the student’s name.**

Please bring the above materials the first day of school in the fall.


Darien

Absolutely NO BACKPACKS WITH WHEELS -- they don’t fit in our lockers!
NO TRAPPER KEEPERS

If you purchased headphones last year, they will be given to your child’s teacher this year. Headphones can be purchased locally, or for $3 at registration. Please do not purchase additional headphones unless notified.

Assignment notebooks will be provided for grades 3-5. Replacement notebooks cost $3.

GYM SHOES may be your child’s regular school shoes if they are regular tennis shoes with low soles.

Please check with your student(s) throughout the year to see if their supplies need to be replaced.

Any brand of facial tissues (Kleenex is one brand), glue, scissors, crayons, or markers are generally acceptable. We find that crayons and markers made by Crayola are tougher, last longer, and are a better value for the money.


Wileman

REMINDER FOR PARENTS WHEN PURCHASING SUPPLIES:
Supplies should be replenished throughout the school year, as needed!
You may wish to buy extras ahead while at sale prices! Students’ names should be marked on all items!

Art supplies are needed for grades 1st through 5th and are listed last within in each class list.
Art Smock – Can be any old large or x-large shirt, including a t-shirt.
Gym Shoes – Tennis shoes with low soles, which can be the shoes they wear everyday.
Also, please only have tennis shoes with shoestrings if the child can tie them.
Put all money sent to school in an envelope with the child’s name, teacher’s name, and what the money is for.

4 YEAR-OLD KINDERGARTEN
