Picture books, stories and chapter books are read aloud daily in classrooms throughout the district.

The purpose of read aloud is to encourage reading enjoyment, model fluent reading and expose students to a variety of genres. Students also gain confidence in public speaking by reading aloud in front of their classmates and teachers.
