We believe the music program in our district is one of the finest in the area.
Our program is strong throughout all grade levels, and we offer a variety of program options for our students, from choral groups, to jazz bands to string orchestras. We also offer top-notch facilities, including a recently-renovated auditorium at Delavan-Darien High School.
Music is part of our curriculum from kindergarten through high school, with hundreds of students participating in our elective choral, band and orchestra courses. Students have the opportunity to start learning a string instrument in the fourth grade, and a wind or percussion instrument in the fifth grade.
Numerous performances are held throughout the year to show off our students' musical talents, including public concerts, plays, musicals, recitals, athletics events, parades, and school assemblies.
Our musicians are also well-traveled, having performed at Disney World and in New York City. Many also compete annually in the Wisconsin State Music Association's Solo and Ensemble Contest and represent our school at the state competition.
