Destination Imagination (DI) is a co-ed extra curricular activity for students in all grades.
Groups of five to seven students work together for the year to solve one of five innovative challenges and present their solution during the spring at Regional, State and Global contests.
DI is an organization that teaches creativity, teamwork and problem solving to students across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work as a team, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the challenges.
Each challenge has a different focus that develops the skills of Theater and Fine Arts, Playwriting and Improvisation, Technical, Robotic, Mechanical, Structural and Architectural Design and Construction.
Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills — they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving. Meeting times vary with each group.
Destination Imagination is open to students in elementary, middle and high school.
