About the School Board

School Board positions are elected positions. Board members are elected to three-year terms.

The board is made up of three candidates who reside in the city of Delavan, two from the town of Delavan, one from either the village of Darien or townships of Sharon or Walworth, and one who resides in any of the following townships — Sugar Creek, Richmond, Darien, or Bradford. Each board member must live within school district boundaries and live within the area for which their seat is designated.

Elections for designated areas rotate every year and proceed as follows — all city of Delavan seats, the two town of Delavan seats, the remaining two seats.

If you're considering running for a school board position, obtain a Declaration of Candidacy form and Campaign Registration Statement form from the School Administration Center, 324 Beloit St., Delavan, WI. (Map)
